Intermediate Spring Performance

Dear Parents,

The students of my music classes have begun working on this semester’s last musical production, “The Adventures of Lewis and Clark.” This musical will involve the classes of Mrs. Kellogg, Mr. Hatch, Mrs. Krupit, Mrs. Hansen, Mrs. Bee, and Mr. Jones. Mrs. Olsen’s drama 1 class will be performing the acting portions of the show. The musical will be presented to the schools of the community at 9:30 A.M. on 5/24/05 and again for the parents and general community at 7:00 P.M. on 5/24/05. It will be a one hour show.

I am sending this letter to inform you of a special “after school” rehearsal date coming up. In order to keep from interfering with the normal “core curriculum” hours, and to make it possible to rehearse with all six music classes, we will be rehearsing after school from 3:00 to 5:00 on Thursday, May 19th. It will not be a dress rehearsal for the choir. It will be a dress rehearsal for the drama 1 students. Please make the necessary arrangements to have your child picked up at 5:00P.M. on that day. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this causes you and/or your family.

I would also like to remind you that the “choir” students are responsible for their own costumes for this event. (The drama 1 students are being provided their costumes. They were required to pay $20.00 for the costume fee of the class for this event.) Please make sure your child has a costume from one of the following groups; trappers, mountain men/women, pioneers, ranchers, farmers, Native Americans, gold miners, railroad workers, civil war soldiers, politicians and city slickers (of the 1800s), and/or any other type of American citizen of the early 1800s.

Thank you for your help and support on this project.

Sincerely,

Tom Burkett
